Cobargo Lantern and Lights Winter Festival!

The inaugural Cobargo Lanterns & Lights Winter Festival will be held on Friday, 31 July, from 4.30pm to 7.00pm, bringing the community together to celebrate the simple pleasures of winter while supporting our wonderful local businesses and organisations. One of the highlights of the evening will be the Street Lantern Parade. Join in the fun and magic by bringing your own lantern for the parade. Families, friends and community groups are encouraged to make or decorate their own lanterns and meet at Cobargo Park at 5.30pm.    The parade will travel under the bridge, following the footpath, crossing over at the RSL (with volunteer crossing guards) and then returning to the park, creating a beautiful procession of lights through the heart of town.  As the sun goes down, the main street will come alive with fairy lights, late-night shopping, market stalls, delicious food and warm hospitality. The Cobargo Primary School will be putting on a performance on the deck of the RSL. Enjoy complimentary tastings of traditional Glühwein, hot chocolate and chocolate treats at Twig & Feather, warming soup and children’s treats from the Cobargo Primary School P&C, homemade cakes and slices from the CWA, along with other stalls and surprises. Plans are also underway for live acoustic music and busking in cosy corners around town and fire pits where everyone can toast marshmallows. Bring along a cosy blanket and a roasting stick, settle in beside the fire and enjoy the atmosphere.   If you would like a stall on the night (we are focussing on locally products and food) please get in contact with either Monique at info@twigandfeather.com.au  or Zoe at zoe@zoepook.com  or fill in this form attached here.  Likewise, if you are a busker who would like to perform on the night please contact us.
