Author talk with Julie Janson – Moruya
Join author Julie Janson for a fascinating talk on writing fiction and the release of her new collection of poetry, ‘My Kaathi Sister’.
Come along to hear about Julie’s award-winning body of work, including novels, poetry, and plays that highlight First Nations histories and voices.
Julie is a Burruberongal woman of the Darug Aboriginal nation in NSW. Julie’s first collection of poetry, My Kaathi Sister, will be released on 29 June, and her new crime novel, Waagaan the Bloody Crow, will be released early 2027. Her previous books Benevolence and Compassion have received high literary acclaim, with Compassion winning the ACT Literary Awards a shortlisting for the Miles Franklin Literary Award. Julie has also contributed a piece to the recently released collection: Rivers Flow – reflections on the songs of Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter.
Light refreshments will be served, and signed copies of Julie’s books will be available for purchase at the event, thanks to Moruya Books.
