Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra Quintet

On Saturday, 25 October at 2.30pm at the Wolumla Hall, Sapphire Coast Music Society and Music in the Regions, with the support of TLE Electrical, present the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra Quintet Mozart’s Clarinet Tour.

Dancing strings, lilting clarinet – the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra Quintet comes to the Bega Valley with sparkling chamber music from three brilliant composers. ‘Mozart’s Clarinet’ soars from joyful Schubert to the passion of Emilie Mayer and one of music’s best-loved pieces: Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, played on a rare historical basset clarinet.

Founded by renowned musician and educator, the late Richard Gill OAM, the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra specializes in historically informed performance of late 18th to early 20th century orchestral and chamber music on period instruments. Fresh from a Queensland tour and a sold-out Sydney Opera House performance, you will love the luminous sonorities of historical clarinet, violin, viola and cello. Feel your heart sing. Experience ‘Mozart’s Clarinet.’
