A little bit about the group

A locally based Dragon Boat racing club that works hard to compete against the big guys. We are the largest the strongest, the fittest and the most funnest (is that a word) that we have ever been. We have grown from 35 members to over 50, whilst predominantly women, we have recruited enough males to have a Men’s team. We train 3 times per week, new paddlers are always welcome to try our sport and we love having visitors from other clubs come and join us for a paddle while they are here on holiday. We love where we paddle and love sharing it!
There are 20 paddlers in the boat, a drummer on the front and a steerer on the back. We race in Men’s, Women’s and Mixed teams over a variety of distances. We mainly compete in the ACT but travel as far as the Gold Coast, Adelaide or Albury to compete.
This season, we competed at The Australian Championships in Albury, the pinnacle of Dragon Boat Racing in Australia. We won respect (no bling) and learnt a lot.
Each year we finish our season off with a fun weekend in Mallacoota, we invite paddlers from clubs who we have raced against or with during the season. It is a celebration of our sport, our club and our members.
