Long serving councillor Tony Allen is the Bega Valley Shire’s new Deputy Mayor.
The Cobargo local elected in a two-way vote with Eden’s first term councillor Clair Mudaliar at the September Ordinary Meeting yesterday afternoon.
Mitchell Nadin, who has filled the role for the last two years, did not nominate to retain the role.

The change will take the council through to the next local government election in September 2028.
