Mogo Trails Maintenance Officer

Council has two full time, fixed term positions until Friday 30 July 2027 in the Recreation Services team, based from Moruya. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving the Mogo Trails mountain bike network in line with approved plans, guidelines, and programs, while supporting the Team Leader to ensure a safe and well-managed system. The role focuses on preserving and enhancing the network’s natural, cultural, environmental, and social values, requiring strong skills, experience, and pride in trail upkeep. It also ensures a high-quality, world-class experience for users. The starting salary for this position is $2,520.36 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation. You’re a hands-on, safety-focused trail enthusiast who loves the outdoors and thrives in physically active roles. As a capable mountain bike rider, you understand trail conditions, rider expectations, and what it takes to deliver a great experience. You bring practical experience in maintenance or similar work, confidently using tools and equipment while following safe work practices. Adaptable and reliable, you’re comfortable working in varying terrain and weather, identifying hazards, and managing risks. You communicate well with the public and your team, provide friendly customer service, and can work both independently and collaboratively to get the job done. Organised and detail-oriented, you’re confident recording inspections and using computer systems to track work, ensuring everything is completed accurately and on time.
