A 28-year-old man is in jail in connection to a series of alleged threatening and sexually explicit phone calls.
Police say the calls were all allegedly made from payphones in Bega to local businesses between February and last week.
The latest call saw officers hoof it quickly to a phone box on Newtown Road, where a short foot chase was required to apprehend the man.

He’s been refused bail to front Batemans Bay Local Court later today.
