Australian cricket fans have been hit with a flipper, this time well outside off stumps, with one of the game’s biggest names now dealing with a very different kind of test.
What Happened?
Over the weekend, the former opener David Warner was allegedly stopped in Sydney after pulling up just short of a random breath testing site. Police approached the vehicle and carried out a roadside test, which came back positive. He was then taken to a station for further testing. The alleged reading was 0.104, well above the legal limit and firmly in mid-range territory. Not exactly the kind of number you want on the scoreboard.

Court Date Locked In
The matter is now heading to court, with a hearing set for early May. For now, no plea has been entered, and the case is yet to face its first proper innings before a magistrate.
Big Name, Big Spotlight
As you’d expect, this is one story that’s drawing plenty of attention. Even in retirement from international cricket, the veteran remains a headline act.
