Wild wet and windy weather batters Far South Coast

The Far South Coast was battered by that wild wet and windy weather at the end of last week.

Winds of up to 130km per hour were recorded at Montague Island Lighthouse, 118kmh at both Green Cape and Mallacoota.

Electricity was knocked out to thousands of properties because of fallen powerlines and numerous roads including the Princes Highway had to be closed because of fallen trees.

The SES were run off their feet as well with more than 175 calls for help across the Eurobodalla and Sapphire Coast.
