The Shoalhaven City Council is under fresh attack this morning over the appointment of former Bega MP Andrew Constance as CEO.
The one-time minister and failed Federal candidate commenced the job late last year in a cloud of controversy over the way the recruitment process was handled.
Now Local Government Minister Ron Hoenig has issued the Mayor Patricia White with a provisional Improvement Order on the matter.
It states there is sufficient evidence to raise questions about the transparency, impartiality and integrity of the process.
All future appointments from the manager level and above will now be overseen by the Office of Local Government.
