There is a strong police presence in East Street Bega tonight.
The street has been in the spotlight since local man, 44-year-old Gordon Kessey was allegedly stabbed to death early last month and another man Benjamin Smith was rushed to South East Regional Hospital in a critical condition.
Then a house in East Street was destroyed in a suspicious fire a few weeks later.

Police have not officially confirmed if the two incidents are linked.
At the scene of the alleged murder tonight officers appear to be conducting some sort of re-enactment of the murder as part of their investigation.
We’ve asked police about the activity but at this stage they are refusing to comment.
