A man is fighting for life in hospital after a vicious early morning home invasion at Tomakin.
Police and paramedics were called to a house in Yarralumla Crescent just before 1am on Monday morning, following reports of an assault.
Upon arrival they discovered a 39-year-old man suffering from serious injuries.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to Mourya Hospital, where he was transferred to the air ambulance before being flown to Sydney.
He is currently listed as critical but stable.
A 77-year-old woman, who was also in the home at the time, was not injured.
Police are still investigating how the offenders, who were both wearing face coverings, got into the house, and crime scene investigators will be at the scene for much of the day.

Police are searching for two men who broke into a home at Tomakin in the early hours of the morning, bashing a male occupant and leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

A search is now underway for the offenders, who were were wearing face coverings according to police.

[A man has been seriously assaulted during a home invasion on the state’s south coast.
Shortly before 1am today (Monday 13 October 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a home invasion on Yarralumla Crescent, Tomakin.
Officers from South Coast Police District were informed that two men wearing face coverings entered the home through unknown means where a 39-year-old male occupant was assaulted.
The men left the home via the rear of the premises.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 39-year-old man at the scene and conveyed him to Moruya Hospital where he was then airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
A 77-year-old woman who at home was uninjured.
Police established a crime scene that will be examined by specialist police.
