Telstra services black out along the Far South Coast

A major telco has apologised to locals impacted by a power outage yesterday afternoon.

Up to 100,000 Telstra customers from Berry down to Eden lost service when power went out at a major exchange in Nowra.

That caused 99 mobile towers to black out.

Devices displayed an SOS message during the outage that lasted for around an hour before services started to come back online.
