Bega Valley Shire Mayor Russell Fitzpatrick says it’s bloody stupid that he and his fellow councillors have to approve their own pays.
The comment made before the councillors unanimously endorsed a 3 percent pay rise at last week’s monthly meeting.
Councillor to now receive just over $23,000 a year from next month.

The Mayor an extra $50,000 on top of that.
