Banksia Villages Limited (Banksia) is a not-for-profit charitable organisation providing retirement living, residential and community aged care services (see: www.banksiavillage.com.au). Located in Broulee on the south coast of NSW, Banksia has been in operation for nearly 30 years, has assets of more than $100M and employs around 140 staff. Banksia is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and/or experienced individuals to join its high-performance and professional governance team. Persons with skills, qualifications and/or experience in a clinical role are highly sought and encouraged to apply. Persons with skills and experience in property development and/or management of building projects are also highly sought. Whilst experience and/or knowledge in organisational governance, aged care and risk management is an advantage, training and support will be provided to the right person/s. Banksia has a comprehensive director induction program and is committed to the ongoing professional development of its staff, management and governors to ensure Banksia is positioned to navigate the challenging, yet rewarding, aged care and services landscape. Geographic position is not an essential variable, as meetings are conducted using remote software. However, preference will be given to persons residing in the Eurobodalla, recognising the importance of connection in the community that Banksia serves. The position of director is not currently remunerated.
