Skills Required

Key Responsibilities: Monday – Friday, flexible hours upon application (approx. 30-40hrs) • Financial Management: o Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records. o Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. o Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) in compliance with Australian tax laws. o Process accurate and timely payroll for all staff, maintaining records of leave balances, overtime, and allowances. • Office Administration: o Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure a smooth and efficient working environment. o Maintain organised and up-to-date records and filing systems. o Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed. o Work closely with Service Managers to provide efficient and effective communication to technicians and apprentices using our job scheduling software. Key Requirements: • Experience: o Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable, with the ability to manage both effectively. o Demonstrated experience in office management or administrative roles. • Skills: o Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Reckon) and MS Office Suite. o Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. o Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and experience in preparing BAS. o Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and maintain high attention to detail. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Qualifications: o Relevant qualifications in accounting, bookkeeping, or business administration are desirable.
