Car rolls, lands on roof on Melbourne road

A car has rolled onto its roof after a crash on an arterial road in Melbourne's southeast.

The Holden was travelling on the Princes Highway in Narre Warren about 1am on Sunday when the male driver lost control, the car rolled and landed on its roof, police say.

The driver, believed to be aged in his 40s, suffered serious injuries while a teenage boy and two girls also in the car were not seriously injured. All four people were taken to hospital

Police are investigating if speed or racing were factors in the crash and want to speak to occupants of a red hatch driving near the sedan at the time of the incident.
