It's been revealed a truck was crushed by a large pre-cast concrete segment for the new Batemans Bay bridge, at the Mogo construction site last month.

Local media are reporting the concrete segment collapsed on to the cab of a parked truck. No one was injured.

An investigation has been carried out by Safework NSW.

Match-cast concrete bridge segments are being built at the specialised temporary site south of Mogo.

Minister for Transport and Roads and Member for Bega, Andrew Constance, said in July, the box girder segments are some of the widest pre-cast segments of their kind in Australia at 20.1m wide.
