RFS crews are responding to a fire in Old Mill Lane area at Wolumla, thought to have started from powerlines this morning.
Storm force winds and dry conditions will cause another day of fire hazard across the region today.
The RFS says there's no danger to property at the moment from a private hazard reduction off Tuross Road at Kybeyan, but the smoke from the fire is likely to impact the Bega Valley for a number of days.
Meanwhile crews are on their way to assist the Wolumla RFS crews following a fire in the bush along Old Mill Lane which has started from powerlines.
A fire at the Bega River late yesterday afternoon on the outskirts of Bega was put out quickly, other outbreaks at Nerrigundah and Yowrie are being contained.

The Bureau says the winds are expected to ease later today.
