Both major political parties have committed $500 million to upgrade Princes Highway south of Wollongong.
Opposition leader Bill Shorten says a Labor Government will match the Coalition's $500 million funding pledge for Princes Highway upgrades between the Victorian border and Wollongong, and start work as soon as possible.
Mr Shorten made the announcement on the campaign trail this afternoon in the Eurobodalla.
He also promised a new radiation therapy facility at Moruya if elected.
The Labor candidate for Gilmore Fiona Phillips says it will mean less travel and better access to radiology for Far South Coast residents.
