Van Ryn back in court in Bega via video link today

A Far South Coast man in jail for a string of child sex crimes is expected to appear before the Bega Local Court today via video link for charge certification. 

The man, Maurice Van Ryn, who held a high profile position in the community for many years through his employment, is expected to enter a plea regarding new charges he is facing against a new child victim who has come forward. 

Sixty-three-year-old Van Ryn, is currently serving a sentence of 13 years and six months at Cessnock Correctional Centre for child sex offences committed against nine victims over an 11-year period.
