A final decision on a proposed flying school for near Bega will be handed down in a fortnight.
A final decision on a proposed flying school near Bega will be handed down by a state planning panel on Thursday the 13th of December at a public meeting at the Bega Commemorative Centre.
The proposed $10 million flying school at Frogs Hollow, just south of Bega, has been met with strong community opposition with numerous groups set up to oppose the development. The Southern Joint Regional Planning Panel will meet in Bega at 4pm on Thursday the 13th of December to determine the application.
Members of the public are invited to address the panel before the final determination is made. Anyone wishing to present must register to speak by contacting the Planning Panels Secretariat before 4pm, Tuesday 11th December on 02 8217 2060, or via email to [email protected]
The flight school DA says the school would provide packages to students including accommodation, meals, tuition and flight training.
