Diesel has been spilling into a sanctuary of the Batemans Marine Park following a truck accident yesterday.
Up to 250 litres of diesel has spilt into Whittakers Creek between Narooma and Bodalla on the Far South Coast.
Whittakers Creek is a marine sanctuary of the Batemans Marine Park and flows into Brou Lake.
The spill occured as a result of a single vehicle truck accident on the Princes Highway yesterday morning.
The truck was left hanging over an embankment of the creek, spilling diesel into the waterway.
Emergency crews have been onsite yesterday and will be onsite today to try and minimise the impact of the spill on the environment.
