Our local community in the Bega Valley Shire district is encouraged to provide feedback on the Bega and Brogo River Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan draft.

And documents will be placed on public exhibition.

It will represent the extension of the ongoing conversation between Bega Valley Shire Council and those living and working in the Bega and Brogo River catchment areas on how to manage the risk of flooding.

The project study area comprises the Bega River from Bega to Mogareeka... the Brogo River downstream of Angledale to Bega; and Candelo Creek.

Project Manager, Gary Louie, said the Bega and Brogo River communities had made a significant contribution to the draft study findings during the initial community consultation phase last year and Council was looking forward to continuing the positive momentum.

Submissions regarding the draft report can be made up until the 5th of November via Council’s Have you say page www.begavalley.nsw.gov.au/haveyoursay
