A police officer has been injured in a short police pursuit in our South Coast region on Saturday night.
Highway patrol officers attempted to stop two motorcyclists for a random breath test at Green Street, Ulladulla.
One rider stopped but the other rider allegedly accelerated away at high speed.
Police gave chase, which officers alleged the rider was travelling at 140km/h in a 50km/h zone.
The rider allegedly smashed into a kerb, before hitting the nature strip and then allegedly was tackled to the ground.
A male senior constable suffered a dislocated shoulder during the incident and was taken to Milton Hospital for treatment and later discharged.
The motorcyclist was arrested at the scene and will appear in court at a later date.
