Two Eurobodalla bridges will be replaced.
The NSW Government has announced they will be pledging $300 million in road infrastructure spending in this week’s budget for new bridges at Batemans Bay and Nelligen.
Construction of a new Batemans Bay bridge is set to begin in early 2019, with the community to have the chance to give their feedback on the design concepts for the new bridge later this year, with it expected to be completed by 2022.
The old bridge will be demolished due to the high maintenance costs and safety issues.
An upgrade to the intersection of the Kings and Princes Highways is also being proposed, with traffic known to bank up to 10 kilometres during busy periods.
