Almost 85% of votes have been counted in the seat of Gilmore but it is still too close to call.
Liberal Candidate and former Member for Bega, Andrew Constance has made up ground against current sitting member, Labor's Fiona Phillips.
Mr Constance leads by 306 votes (as at 8am on Monday May 23).
The Result in Gilmore may not be known for days, with the count of postal votes to resume on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Kristy McBain has claimed victory in the seat of Eden Monaro.
Ms McBain won the seat with a very slim margin in the 2020 byelection following the retirement of Mike Kelly but swings against the Liberal Party and will now establish a significant margin.
Ms McBain celebrated with a family and supporters at Club Sapphire in Merimbula on Saturday night.
"The night of the byelection I stood up here and still wasn't sure what was going to happen with this seat," Ms McBain said on Saturday night.
"The biggest thing that I wanted to do was to make sure that this time around there would be no doubt in anyone's mind who had won the seat of Eden-Monaro.
"We have taken what was an ultra marginal seat and hopefully landed in safe seat territory," she said to much applause.
"To my entire team...I could not have done this without you.
"I am forever indebted to you.
"First and foremost to my family who have to go for days without seeing mum sometimes but everything I do is to make sure your future can be bigger and brighter."
Ms McBain said the results coming in from right across the country pointing to a Labor win showed "Australia is keen for change".
Liberal Candidate Dr JErry Nockles conceded defeat and passed on his congratulations to Kristy and her team.
"The result in Eden-Monaro is clear and I have offered my congratulations and warmest best wishes to Kristy for the term ahead," Mr Nockles said in a statement.
"I offer her my support, and as has been my habit over a long period, I will assist her and the people of Eden-Monaro to the best of my ability."
"I am very proud of the effort of my campaign team and supporters. We have conducted a positive campaign that reflected the confidence and optimism of the thousands of people I have spoken with right across this magnificent electorate over many years.
"The Morrison Government has led Australians magnificently through some of the most challenging times in our nation’s history – as the din of political opportunism and criticism subsides, this immutable fact will remain.
"We will continue to face challenging times ahead and I wish Kristy and the Albanese Government every success."
