Two new cases on south coast

Across New South Wales 93.4 per cent of people aged 16 plus have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine while 78.1 per cent of people aged 12 to 15 have had a double dose.

NSW recorded over 3,057 new cases of COVID-19 to 8pm last night and there are currently 284 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 39 people in intensive care, 11 of whom require ventilation. NSW Health is today reporting the deaths of two people.

Southern NSW Local Health District recorded six new cases to 8pm last night. 

  • One case is in the Bega Valley LGA (Coolagolite).
  • One case is in the Eurobodalla LGA (Batehaven).
  • Two cases are in the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA (Crestwood and Queanbeyan West).
  • One case is in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA (Goulburn).
  • One case is in the Yass LGA (Bookham).

It bring the total cases under virtual care to 11 in the Snowy Monaro, 7 in the Bega Valley, 6 in the Eurobodalla and 13 in the Queanbeyan Palerang region. 

NSW Health is reminding everyone to practice COVID-safe behaviours, including wearing a mask in settings where physical distancing is not possible.

If you are directed to get tested for COVID 19 or self-isolate at any time, you must follow the self-isolation rules.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested immediately and self-isolate until you receive a negative test result.
