Elderly man assaulted in Moruya


South Coast Police are investigating an assault in the Eurobodalla yesterday. 

Emergency services were called to a carpark on Vulcan Street, in Moruya, just after 2.20pm on Tuesday (20 July 2021).

Police have been told an 83-year-old man was in the carpark when he was approached by an unknown male who knocked him to the ground and stole his car keys, before fleeing the scene in the man’s vehicle.

The vehicle is a bronze 2001 Holden Commodore, with NSW registration ATZ 12F.

The man was treated at the scene for knee and arm injuries, before being taken to Moruya Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from South Coast Police District commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
