Far South Coast businesses are being hit hard once again with a mass exodus of Victorian visitors and booking cancellations.

The Victorian government has said it will impose a hard lockdown of the Victorian border  at 11.59 pm tonight.

The Sydney COVID-19 outbreak has spread to a number of cases in Melbourne.

Under the changes, any Victorian currently in the Green Zone - including in the Bega Valley Shire and Eurobodalla - will have until 11.59pm tonight to go home.

Traffic was last night bumper to bumper on the Princes Highway with Victorian visitors trying to get home.

The Victorian government says any Victorian, regardless of where they’re arriving from in New South Wales,  will need to get tested and then quarantine for 14 days upon arriving in the state.
