This month marks thirty years since the invention of the internet. A British Software Engineer Tim Berners-Lee wanted to be able to share information more effectively with his Scientist collegues, his goal was "a decentralised information management system"
Now in his retirement he is questioning the survival of the internet suggesting it has been hijacked by crooks and trolls and is concerned for its future. He is lobbying for more controls.
What I find amazing is the fact that the internet is so stitched into our everyday lives and yet it has only existed for thirty years.
