The 2023 Stars of the Eurbodalla did the region proud on Saturday night (November 25) raising a six figure amount for the Cancer Council.
12 South Coast personalities and business people and their dance partners boogied the night away in Batemans Bay, raising a record $176,239 in the process!
East Coast Radio’s Kimmi Saker, who was the host, a dancer and this year’s highest fundraiser, said it was a night to remember.
“What an awesome night, all the dancers and dance teachers were incredible and the crowd was amazing,” Saker said.
“There was so much love in the room at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club, it was a spectacular night that thanks to the generosity of the South Coast Community raised over $176,000 which has bettered last year’s total by more than $50,000.”
Thomas Gamble & Rebecca Stanley won Best Costume for their superhero outfits which they revealed by ripping their initial outfits off.
Rebecca O’Connor & Montana Slack took home the peoples choice award with their engaging performance.
East Coast Radio’s Kimmi Saker was the highest fundraiser, collecting a massive $27,629 for the cause.
Ashley Bujeya & Jayne Edwards won the Judges Choice after dazzling the audience with their stunning performance.
“They were the last act of the night, they came out in matching sequin sparkles, Ashley even got on roller skates, they did tumbles, and they ended their routine with the splits, and absolutely blew the roof off the Bay Soldiers Club,” Saker said.
