South Coast Police have recovered a significant amount of stolen property as part of an ongoing investigation into break and enter in Bega.
The items stolen included a new vehicle that was about to be put into use from this week in a program for learner drivers across the district.
The car, TV, laptop computers, tablets, EFTPOS machines and a coffee machine were among the items reported stolen from the Local Aboriginal Land Council on Gipps Street in Bega last Thursday (July 25).
A spokesperson from the Bega LALC said they were “really devastated and in shock” at the robbery.
Following inquiries, about 6pm on Friday (July 26), police searched a house on Norman Avenue in Bega, where a significant number of suspected stolen items – including the car were recovered.
