Bega Valley Shire Council has finalised the sale of the Bega Valley Regional Learning Centre, behind the Lakeview Hotel in Merimbula.

Council’s CEO, Anthony McMahon said councillors unanimously agreed to move ahead with the sale of the property after receiving a formal offer to purchase the property last year.

“The centre offered a variety of permanent office space leased to businesses, a co-workspace and hireable meeting rooms,” Mr McMahon said.

The Cabarita Hub has it’s own website and offers “prime office and retail area with spaces ranging from 50 to 500sqm right in the heart of Merimbula with undercover parking. Available in 2024.”

The Cabarita Hub is interested in attracting the following service providers to the space:
-Professional services
-Beauty & wellness
-Rehabilitation services

The Bega Valley Regional Learning Centre was sold for a total of $3,300,000 which Mr McMahon said would likely be used for reinvestment.

“The proceeds from the sale of the centre will be placed in an internally restricted reserve that will be used for future development or reinvestment into Council property.”
