A local woman has reportedly been banned from owning or caring for pets for the next decade after she was convicted of animal cruelty.
27-year-old Bridie Miller from Batemans Bay was charged with failing to provide proper food to an animal, failing to provide proper drink to an animal, and committing an act of cruelty upon an animal.
The Bay Post reports Batemans Bay Local Court heard the charges related to two dogs named May and Bully.

Miller was also sentenced to a 12-month community corrections order and ordered to pay $5752 to the RSPCA.
