ABOUT THE ROLE
Apply to join the catering team at Goodwin's Lifestyle Village at Batemans Bay. This role works closely with the General Manager Catering Services to ensure that catering services meet the required standards for food preparation and delivery to residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and deliver all food and services provided to the Village Residents including menu and daily food planning, external catering requests and functions.
Manage and cater for short order Café cooking (e.g. Roast Dinners).
Clean and washup as required.
Ensure the kitchen, dining room and surrounds are cleaned to required standards.
Maintain good workplace practices and standards that meet legislative requirements.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Qualified as a Chef with a minimum Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Has a passion for cooking, producing seasonal menus and maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
Good knowledge of health and nutrition, specifically to meet the requirements of our residents.
Works well as part of a team, with the ability to also work with limited supervision.
Ability to cover shifts / be on call.
Possesses a keen eye for detail, with exceptional presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
Experience and/or qualification(s) in hospitality / event management (desirable).

This is a part-time role with some weekend work possibly required, hours are to be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.

The successful candidate must possess the right to work in Australia; must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be willing to be vaccinated within first 3 months of employment; strongly recommended to be vaccinated against influenza and be willing to undergo a Criminal Background Check as pre-requisites to employment.
