Do you have demonstrated experience in civil construction and/or civil maintenance work environments? Do you have the ability to supervise work teams and assist in monitoring projects? If yes, we have the job for you.

Based from Narooma, this supervisory position will oversee and undertake the preparation, control and monitoring of civil construction works projects or maintenance activities. Duties include planning and carrying out work schedules, monitoring and reporting on expenditure, arrange quotations and prepare estimates, and supervision of staff, contractors and sub-contractors.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,672.81 to $2,853.37 gross per fortnight consisting of:
• $2,396.43 to $2,560.57 base salary,
• $33.40 Adverse Working Conditions allowance, plus
• $242.98 to $259.40 superannuation (at 10%)

A fully maintained Council vehicle for work purposes (including to/from home use) is available with this position.

When required by Council, this position will participate in an on-call roster. Appropriate allowances are paid when required to be on-call.

Skill Required

To be successful in this role you will require experience in civil construction and/or civil maintenance work area, the ability to prepare, control and monitor projects, understanding and experience in plant capabilities and outputs, and the willingness and ability to undertake physical labouring tasks. Sound interpersonal skills and developed computer literacy skills will also stand you in good stead.
