Join our Technical Services team and use your environmental/engineering qualifications and experience to mitigate the impacts of engineering activities on the environment in the beautiful Eurobodalla Shire.

This position involves undertaking environmental assessments (particularly Review of Environmental Factors - REFs), providing advice on environmental impacts and gaining the necessary approvals for Council’s projects. You will develop and manage contracts with environmental consultants and review planning assessments and environmental document ensuring Council’s legal and statutory responsibilities are met and, planning assessment and environmental documentation is reviewed in accordance with approved authorities and relevant Acts and legislation.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $3,336.64 to $3,560.58 gross per fortnight consisting of:
• $3,033.31 to $3,236.89 base salary,
• $303.33 to $323.69 superannuation (at 10%)

Skill Required

To be successful in this role you will require relevant qualifications in an environmental or engineering field. You will have high level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. A working knowledge and understanding of the Local Government Act and relevant NSW and Australian Environmental Legislation along with experience in the preparation of REFs would also be an advantage.
