Sapphire Community Pantry have been providing Foodbank hampers to charities and individuals who are facing hunger, for free. These hampers cost us $10 each, and contain over $60 worth of food staples, including breakfast cereal, milk, rice, pasta and sauces, biscuits, tea and coffee.  We are having to dig deep into our scarce financial reserves, and are now asking the community to help us continue to give these hampers for free.

For a donation of just $10, you can allow us to purchase a hamper of food.

To find out how to donate, go to our Facebook page: @sapphirecommunityprojects

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

Location:  2 Peden Street, Bega – next to the rear of Mitre 10 and opposite Beaurepaire Tyres

Hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 11am to 2pm

Sapphire Community Projects Inc is a registered charity. Its aim is to nourish the community, and its lead program is the Sapphire Community Pantry.

The Pantry was established in 2017 and welcomes anyone who needs food and groceries. Their prime customer group is people suffering food insecurity, but they also welcome anyone who wishes to shop with them

The Sapphire Community Pantry at 2 Peden Street Bega is committed to responding to the needs of the community through focusing on food access and community connections.

We are open on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 11am to 2pm.

The Pantry is doing its best to continue to service the community in these changing times. Being aware of the safety of our volunteers and community, we continue to operate, but with some changes such as making sure social distance is maintained, and that all people who come in to the Pantry use the hand sanitiser provided..

We also have "tap n go" facilities and we encourage you to use this service..
