Rotary Batemans Bay and Moruya Free Health Checks
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Batemans Bay, the Rotary Men’s Health Education Rural Van (Mherv) will be visiting Batemans Bay on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th May 2023 and in Moruya Friday 5th, Saturday 6th to provide free basic health assessments to both men and women. The van will be located in the northern carpark of Club Catalina on Beach Road, Batemans Bay and will operate from 9.30 AM to 3.30PM on both days. The van will then be in Moruya on Friday opposite the post office from 09.00am to 3.30pm and at the Moruya markets on Saturday from 8.00am to 12.00pm. The assessments are free and no appointments are necessary.
Assessments will be provided by Registered Nurse, Bill Power, who travels with the van around New South Wales. Each individual will have their blood pressure, cholesterol level and blood sugar level checked. Bill is also happy to have a quick chat about general health issues.
The Mens Health Education Rural Van (Mherv) is an initiative of Rotary in New South Wales and was originally set-up to focus on issues relating to men’s health. However, both men and women are most welcome to attend a free assessment at Mherv.
