Police appeal for public help with Bermagui and Pambula robberies

Police are asking the public to help with a robbery in Pambula this week and another that occured in Bermagui earlier this year.

South Coast Police have released a CCTV image and are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into a reported break and enter at a business in Bermagui on the Far South Coast.

“We believe that the person depicted in this post can assist us with a matter we are investigating that occurred on Lamont Street in Bermagui in the early morning hours of Tuesday the 2nd of January 2024,” a South Coast Police spokesperson said.

Anyone who has any information is urged to contact Nowra Police Station Police on 4421 9699, the Police Assistance Line on 131 444, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

“Please quote reference E95865472 for the Bermagui matter.”

Police are also appealing to the Bega Valley community after Toast Cafe Pambula was robbed on Wednesday night, the 6th of March.

“Detectives and Crime Scene officers are currently investigating this reported break enter and steal that occured overnight,” a South Coast Police spokesperson said.

The owners of Toast Pambula took to social media to let customers know they are only offering takeaway coffee today and that the robbery won’t impact their plans for this weekend’s EAT Merimbula festival.

After launching just prior to the bushfires and making it through that and the pandemic, the cafe just expanded to launch Toast Eden on Tuesday the 5th March.
