
With Saturday May 21 now set for the Federal Election, residents across the Far South Coast are being urged to make sure they’re ready to vote.
Alex Morris from the Australian Electoral Commission said the deadline for South Coast locals to enroll and update their details is 8pm next Monday, 18 April.
"The election is on which means it's super important for local residents in particular to jump onto aec.gov.au," Mr Morris said.
"Take five minutes and make sure that your enrollment is up to date, if it's not, you can update it online."

While Labor leader Anthony Albanese has started his campaign in Tasmania, the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison is visiting the South Coast today (Monday April 11).
The Liberal leader is in the seat of Gilmore, and is set to announce a $40 million package to upgrade roads in the electorate, held by Labor's Fiona Phillips by a margin of 2.6%.
Former Member for Bega and NSW Transport Minister, Andrew Constance, is the Liberal Candidate for Gilmore who will be contesting against Ms Phillips.
While in the Eden Monaro, currently held by former Mayor of the Bega Valley, Labor's Kristy McBain, two candidates will challenge her in Dr Jerry Nockles of the Liberal Party and Greg Butler from the Australian Democrats.
McBain won the seat of Eden Monaro in a 2020 by-election after Labor's Mike Kelly retired due to health reasons.
The Australian Electoral Commission said the deadline for locals to enroll and update their details is 8pm next Monday, April 18.
