Locals being sought to work as lifesavers

A call has been issued for locals interesting in being employed as a lifeguard in the Eurobodalla.

The council has teamed up with The Australian Lifeguard Service to offer training for people keen join their lifeguard team this summer.

The training is open to local residents aged 16 and above.

Popular beaches without surf clubs, including North Head at Moruya, Tuross Main Beach and Dalmeny Main Beach, will have paid lifeguards on duty seven days a week over Summer.

Anyone interested in joining the lifeguard team can apply online.
