Questions over a potential conflict of interest for a major development site in Batemans Bay has forced the council to remove it from the town’s draft master plan.
Eurobodalla Shire bought the old Bowling Club site in the town for $2.7 million nine years ago.
But the community reacted badly to a potential high-rise development in the prominent location on the entry to the Bay.

The site’s future instead will now be subjected to a separate consultation process.
