Only days after the re-opening of the Kings Highway from a landslip, the Roads and Maritime Service have completed a preliminary investigation report into the safety on the Kings Highway at Braidwood. Member for Monairo John Barilaro said the review looked at two sections of the highway on either side of Braidwood. It comes in response to the numerous fatality crashes on that stretch of road. For locals concerned, a community workshop to discuss the findings will be held on 3 May at the Braidwood National Theatre from 6pm. |

Previously the rule was seven years, with banks believing the move is revenue-raising. Australian bankers Association Chief Executive Steve Munchenburg said the law comes into effect at the end of this month, and is urging locals to make transactions as small as a dollar to avoid a government transfer.
