Eurobodalla Amplify heats fire up

The Eurobodalla Shire Council's annual Battle of the Bands competition Amplify will be hitting the stage this Saturday night in Batemans Bay. Council's Youth Officer Kim Bush says they're trying a different approach to the competition this year.

Moruya “Wettest Place in Australia” – if only for an hour

Early this morning, Moruya residents could say they were living in the wettest place in Australia. Between the early hours of 3am and 4am the town recorded 9mm of rainfall in that one-hour period. At the time, that was a total of 23mm fallen since 9am yesterday. Rain will continue to batter the South Coast this afternoon, but it will ease overnight, making way for a partly cloudy day tomorrow and a mostly sunny weekend. Read more
