I’m not really a car guy, but when I hear about a new Bugatti that costs $3.3 million and takes 6 months to build, curiosity wins over…
Behold the Chiron – The newest iteration of a car you’ll never hope to drive, let alone own the Bugatti Veyron.
Here are some numbers!
- 1500 brake horse power.
- 16 cylinder engine.
- Top speed: 418 kilometers per hour. (A third of the speed of sound)
- 0 – 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds.
The car is put together by hand by 20 employees over 12 stations, with no conveyor belts or robots getting a hand (or claw) in the job.
After its initial test drives and 2 day paint and polish the car spends 6 hours in something called a ‘light tunnel’ being finely inspected for any blemishes in the paint work before being personally signed off by the company’s head of sales.
I wonder how many people took that much care with your car…
